Dear Parent(s) and Guardian(s),
The first day of school is quickly approaching and I have some information to share with you regarding this exciting day as well as some new procedures for the beginning of the year.
On Wednesday August 31st, teachers and staff will be welcoming the students from grade 1-6 in the school yard. Each grade level has been assigned a colour. When students enter the yard, they should look for their assigned colour. The teachers of that grade will greet them and lead them into the school where the students will be divided into the appropriate classes.
Colour coded grades for lineup on first day:
Grade 1: Yellow
Grade 2: Green
Grade 3: Orange
Grade 4: Red
Grade 5: Blue
Grade 6: Purple
Pre-kindergarten and Kindergarten students will be coming in progressively on both August 31st and September 1st, 2016. Students are to come to school with their school supplies and a nutritious snack. Progressive entry is as follows:

During the first week of school, your child will receive a school agenda. Please review the information in the agenda with your child, most importantly our code of conduct, and sign the appropriate pages.
Your child will also receive a “Student Handbook”. Please return the completed package your child’s homeroom teacher by September 16, 2016.
Your child will receive his/her agenda books on the first day of school. It is important that you review the code of conduct and expectations in the agenda book and sign the appropriate pages.
Please ensure that your child is aware of his/her dismissal routine for the first days of school.
